The Best Life app allows you to track a lot of data. You can track things like mood and stress, food and calories, medications and supplements, exercise, health vitals, sleep, use Best Life for journaling, set up reminders and plan habits. On top of all the data you can manually track, you can sync Best Life with Apple Health, Android Health Connect, Google Fit and Fitbit. Plus, Best Life can optionally use your location to provide you with weather, air, and pollen data.
With all this data, you may want to ensure you have backups or move your data to another platform. We suppose your freedom of choice with your data. Which is why we have an in-app method for you to retrieve your Best Life app data takeout. Here’s how you can retrieve your data in the Best Life app.
How to Retrieve Your Data Takeout in the Best Life app
Once you’re in the Best Life app, look at the bottom-right of the screen. You will find that the bottom navigation bar has an option for Settings. Go ahead and tap the Settings icon. Once you are in the Settings screen, you will find the Privacy option under the category called “Account.” Tap the Privacy option in Settings.
From the Privacy screen you can review your options or jump right to the “Security” category and tap Download your data to start the data takeout process. Confirm your selection by tapping “request data” once the prompt appears.
Once you have requested your data, it will take just a few minutes for a message to go into your in-app inbox announcing your data takeout is ready to download.
Open the message in your in-app inbox and tap download. For Apple/iOS users, you will have the option to choose where your data takeout is saved to in the file manager. For Android users, your file will automatically be saved to your Downloads folder.
That’s it! What you do with your data takeout from here is entirely up to you. Some of the Best Life app users like to extract their data takeout files to your desktop or laptop computers and use the JSON files for more advanced analysis. Other users will save it only as a backup. The choice is yours!
